主任講師 MAE/メイ

Hi, everyone! My name is Mae. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Filipino from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. I enjoy watching movies from different countries, as they allow me to learn about diverse cultures and perspectives. One of my favorite songs is Hotel California by The Eagles.

Teaching children is something I truly love. Kids are naturally curious and intelligent, and every day in the classroom feels like a learning experience for me as well. Their ability to find joy in simple things reminds me to be more patient, grateful, and appreciative.

I hope to have the opportunity to teach your children English while also learning and growing together with them.

講師 DHANUSHKA/ダヌシュカ

Hello everyone, My name is Dhanushka Wijerathna. I am from Sri Lanka.

I am a master’s student at the University of Tsukuba. I have done my bachelor’s degree in Language and Tourism at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. I’ve been studying French for years and now I am studying Japanese. I was a member of the United Nations. I worked as the Communication Assistant at the United Nations Development Program in Sri Lanka.

My passions are teaching, listening to music, and learning languages and different cultures. Since I love to engage with kids and teaching is one of my passions, I have 5 years of English teaching experience for kids where I conducted English classes as an individual volunteer program.

I have a message for all of the kids:

“If you are determined to learn English, it is the easiest language to study. It does not matter how slowly you learn or how many mistakes you make as long as you do not stop studying.  You are still way ahead of everyone who is not trying. Believe in yourself that one day you are going to be fluent in English.”

講師 SOCHEATA/ソジアタ―

Hello everyone! I am Socheata Try, and I come from Cambodia.

I am a master’s student in public health at the University of Tsukuba.

Before coming to Japan, I worked as a pharmacist in a child and adolescent mental health organization, which made me interested in children’s education for positive development both physically and mentally. Since then, I have wished to be involved in any job that I can work with kids and adults. I believe everyone is special and unique in their own way. Currently, I also work on a project to help kids and adults grow healthy eating habits through education.

I hope that being able to teach kids English will be another chance to have positive interaction with them, which can help them learn English more effectively in a happier way.

講師 NETHANIAH/ネタニア―

Hi everyone! My name is Nethaniah. I am from Sri Lanka.

I am an undergraduate student at University of Tsukuba. I am currently studying development economics.

My favotite thing to do when I am free is to go on a walk around Tsukuba campus, especially when it is either Spring or Autumn. I enjoy watching romantic movies and listening to RnB songs.

Teaching english to kids is something I truely value and enjoy. I come from a big family, therefore, I love spending time with kids. As english is my second language, and as I have been learning english ever since I was a kid, I understand the challenges there might be for kids. Along with learning and developing with your kids, I wish to have the chance to teach them English.
